OutVoice (“OutVoice”, “Us”, “We”, or “Our”) operates an online accounts payable management services software platform (the “OutVoice Platform”, “Platform” or “Services”). It provides an automated process for digital publishers (“Publishers”) to control and manage their purchase of and payment for content from freelance independent contractor writers and photographers (“Freelance Contributors”) and for Freelance Contributors to manage and track their sales of content they provide to Publishers. The OutVoice Platform and Services are accessible at www.OutVoice.com and may be Used only by registered Users upon acceptance of Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of October 1, 2018. OutVoice reserves the right to change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Unless otherwise indicated, changes or modifications will be effective upon their posting to this site. Notices of any changes or modifications may be made through their posting on this site. OutVoice may provide additional notices to registered Users via email or other communications.

User Consent To Collection Of Data

The OutVoice Platform operates as an efficient way to exchange of information between Freelance Contributors who create content and Publishers who purchase the content. As an integral part of this exchange of information, OutVoice receives and collects User data, primarily for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. By Using the Service, You agree to the collection and Use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms Used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in Our Terms and Conditions, accessible from www.OutVoice.com/terms.

Data Collected From Users

OutVoice requests, receives, and collects the certain data and information from Registered Users.   This may include certain personally identifiable information that can be Used to contact or identify You (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City
  • Cookies and Usage data
  • Username and password

OutVoice may also collect Usage data and information, including Your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of Our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Use Of Information Collected From Users

Information provided by or collected from Publishers and Freelance Contributors will be Used to primarily to provide the Services to Registered Users. The information will be Used to contact and communicate with Registered Users, to maintain and manage User accounts, to facilitate management, operation, functionality, and performance of the OutVoice Platform, and to facilitate delivery and execution of the Services to Registered Users.

Information and data provided by or collected from Users may also be Used to detect and prevent fraud, to monitor and identify misUse or improper Use of the Platform or Services, to enable and ensure OutVoice’s compliance with its legal obligations, and to resolve disputes and enforce legal agreements and policies.

OutVoice may also Use information and data provided by Users for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform and Services.

Information For Processing Of Payments

The OutVoice Platform facilitates the payment by Publishers to Freelance Contributors as an essential part of the Services. OutVoice Uses the third-party services of Stripe, Inc., and PayPal as its Payment Services Providers for the processing of such payments and transactions between Publishers and the Freelance Contributors from whom the Publishers purchase content.

OutVoice will not collect or store payment information. That information is provided directly to the third-party Payment Services Provider whose Use of Publishers’ and or Freelance Contributors’ information is governed by their privacy policy. Payment Providers maintain their own processes and undertake their own efforts to protect the privacy and security of personal and financial information provided to them to process payments and transactions. Disclosures Of Information To Third Parties

OutVoice will not disclose, share or sell information collected from or provided by Users to outside third parties, except in the following circumstances:

OutVoice may disclose information to OutVoice’s partners, vendors, and other affiliates that maintain servers and software that host and support the OutVoice Platform and or store User data. This includes disclosing information to OutVoice’s Payment Services Provider through the OutVoice Platform and or who provide communication services for OutVoice.

OutVoice may disclose User information without consent for security purposes, when required by law, to comply with a court order or subpoena, to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation or to prevent imminent harm to any person or entity. OutVoice reserves the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that OutVoice in good faith believes to be unlawful. Release of information for security purposes shall be based on a determination made solely by OutVoice, exercising its good faith discretion.

Third Party Links And Sites

The OutVoice Platform may contain links to other sites that are not operated by Us. If You click a third party link, You will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise You to review the privacy policies and terms of service of every site You visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Retention Of User Personal Information And Data

OutVoice will retain Your personal information and data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and Use Your personal information and data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations (for example, if We are required to retain Your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce Our legal agreements and policies.

OutVoice will also retain Usage-related data for internal analysis purposes. This Usage-related data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is Used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Services, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.

Transfer Of Data

OutVoice utilizes Amazon Web Services, Inc. or Digital Ocean, Inc. for hosting of the OutVoice Platform and storage of the information and data collected from Users. Amazon Web Services, Inc. and Digital Ocean, Inc. maintain their own data privacy and security measures. Users of the OutVoice Platform and Services are encouraged to take appropriate security measures when accessing and providing information through the OutVoice Platform.
